Gilly-Bean's Papa

My wife is an outstanding mother (just ask Gilly-bean's brother)! So it was really no surprise that she wanted to ensure that our son and our daughter had a positive experience when they 1st met. I am blessed to have Lindsey as my partner. I know she will continue to love our kids with passion and careful consideration for their well being, and in light of their unique personalities...



We couldn't be more proud of that 1st meeting... I know that there will be challenges in their relationship, but I also believe that our two kids will love each other deeply. They're off to a great start with Linds for a mommy :)



By the way, Pate's 1st words when he saw his sister, "So sweet. So, so sweet." He hears his mom say that about him often... it was very good to hear him say that about his new sister!

Thank you all for your continued prayers, your phone calls, your gifts, and your presence. We have a great family and wonderful friends!

I only have 350 pictures with my little girl to choose from so far... I can't believe it's already been a week! Anyway, just know that there are many more photos to come... 2 and 3 at a time...

Gillian Nora Bella was born at 12:11pm. She weighed 8 lbs. 13 oz. and measured 20 inches from head to toe!

Lindsey did great and we have found that for her the 2nd delivery was easier than the 1st :) We are both thankful to God for bringing Gillian to us safely!

We picked the name Gillian because I liked it...








Lindsey picked out the name Nora Bella and we both love it for it's spiritual significance. It means beautiful light. Our prayer for our daughter is that she will be a beautiful reflection of God's radiant glory...





Here's my little girl in her coming home dress that her mother made her. Linds also made the blanket she's laying on, the sheets underneath her, and the pillows around her. My wife is great at these things...




We are truly blessed to have such a wonderful family! Thank you God for this precious child.

C'mon Gilly-Bean! We're all here waiting on you :) Daddy's not really getting a lot of work done as of late because I can't stop thinking about you!

You know baby girl - contrary to the popular beliefs of youngsters these days - its really not cool to be late... How's that for sounding like an old man? Don't worry, I'm working on it. There will be a lot more where that came from.

Mommy, Patriot, and I (along with the rest of the family) are very much looking forward to meeting you face to face! You know it's not like you're having to figure out what to wear in there, so what's the hold up?

The doctor told us today that your mommy is dialated to 4 centimeters... That might as well be halfway. Did ya hear that honey, you're halfway there! You should just go ahead and finish it out. You know it's very important to finish what you start. Don't leave us hangin'. I know, I know you don't want to hear a lecture... Listen, your gonna do great okay, so I'll see ya when it gets to 10! Which of course is what you'll be, a perfect 10!

Alright daddy is rambling now... But seriously, c'mon!
